March 11th, 2008
There was much talk when computers first became common within the workplace and in our homes, that paper would become a thing of the past. While it is true that we live in an increasingly digital world somehow intuitively I know that the use of paper is alive and well. Naturally when I read an article in the New York Times online about a family who has made a conscious decision to go paperless, I was inspired. Read the rest of this entry »

February 26th, 2008

Of course at that time farming was one of the most common and highly regarded professions and society was far less “urbanized.”

EcoBox Presents….Biodegradable Bubble Wrap!
January 29th, 2008| EcoBox is excited to announce that it will now stock Bio-Bubble, a 100% biodegradable bubble wrap. This fantastic news is sure to appeal to our Eco Conscious customers and the environment as the introduction of Bio-Bubble is sure to result in less plastic waste remaining in landfills for hundreds of years.Bio-Bubble has the same strength and durability as regular bubble wrap; the only difference is that Bio-Bubble contains a special formula called d2W. This formula will cause Bio-Bubble to breakdown after it is discarded and brought to a landfill site. Once in a landfill, an environment where sunlight, heat, water and stress are present the Bio-Bubble will begin to decompose.Once decomposition has occurred the only by-products that result are small amounts of CO2, H2O and biomass that serve as nutrients for soil microbes. Bio-Bubble is non-toxic and will not harm plants, animals or humans. This eco-friendly alternative will not cost you any more than regular bubble wrap either! Offering a green alternative to or customers is another way EcoBox is keeping its commitment to the environment. Making sure that this eco option is available to our customers at the same price as regular bubble wrap, means that choosing the environmentally friendly option will be a no-brainer! |

However, there are a few very simple steps one can take in order to limit the impact they have on the environment when they move, thereby limiting stress and making positive lifestyle changes to go with that great new place you will call home.

Live Consciously in 2008!
January 8th, 2008![]()
To live consciously means (at least to me) that I must become more aware of how my daily actions impact on the environment and on others. This awareness of how my actions affect the world will inevitably lead me to make positive changes to lessen my impact. How is this different from making a resolution? Simple psychology! When one makes a resolution it is almost always a statement such as “I will lose weight”, “I will quit smoking” or, “I will stress less.” As great as these resolutions are, they are statements made without a plan and without the recognition of what has brought you to the point where you state, “I will lose weight.”
