Recycling is an important part of everyday life. Built on the idea of taking the products that we use, breaking them down and then recreating another product out of the recycled materials, recycling can help us reduce and reuse the products that make our lives simpler. Buying recycled or reused products can also help you to save money! The 3R’s (Recycle, Reduce and Reuse) help us to preserve our environment through the reduction of harmful landfill waste.
But what can and can’t be recycled? This can sometimes be confusing as materials acceptable for recycling vary depending on where you live. Your municipal recycling program should be able to inform you of the items that they do and do not collect. However, here is a comprehensive list of items that can be recycled.
